My aim is to help you have a harmonious and contented relationship with your dog. No dog is perfect; all of them have quirks, likes and dislikes, just like us. I love helping clients understand their dogs better, creating a deep bond that literally lasts a lifetime. About 3 years ago, having lived with dogs for most of my life, I branched out from the corporate world and became qualified in dog training and behaviour through the VSA. Since then, I have helped 100’s of dogs and their owners on different behavioural issues, with a focus on bespoke, individual support. Through my experience, I have become more focused on working and studying the more challenging behaviours, with a particular interest in helping separation anxiety clients. This led me to the wonderful training with Julie Naismith of which I am a proud holder of the SA Pro Badge. I live in the UK in the Surrey countryside with 2 wonderful lurchers. I work with clients on a local, regional and worldwide level both through the convenience of Zoom consults and if local, 1:1 home visits. My separation anxiety training approach is to be sensitive and understanding to help you find your freedom and have a happier dog.

Kiem Sie

Kiem is a SAPT, certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA), and behaviour consultant who has been working across two sectors for over a decade: animal welfare and higher education. Her journey into dog training started when she rescued her dog Bimo who was running on the streets of Oakland. This led her into the world of sheltering, starting as a volunteer, then board member, and then trainer and behaviour consultant. Her next dog, Leo is a foster fail and suffered from separation anxiety. Kiem’s experiences with her dog and other dogs suffering from SA in and out of shelters was the spark for her interest in helping dogs develop comfort with being alone. In addition to her dog training business, Kiem serves as the Operations Director for two non-profit organizations: Shelter Playgroup Alliance (SPA) and Humane Dog Training Advocates (HDTA). SPA provides animal welfare organizations with education, tailorable guidelines, and support materials for developing and implementing comprehensive enrichment programs. Humane Dog Training Advocates (HDTA) promotes modern, positive, humane, and science-based dog training methods through education and advocacy. Through education and support, HDTA hopes that fewer dogs are relinquished to shelters.

I have over 10 years of experience working with dogs with many different behavioural issues. One of my own dogs began to display severe separation anxiety prior to moving home. This led to my desire to specialise in separation anxiety issues, and wanting to understand from a scientific point of view how I could not only help my own dog but other dogs out there! Being a SA PRO Trainer (which I am so proud to be a part of this organisation) will now give me tools to help those SA dogs. Through my work to date I have learnt to understand how anxiety impacts both dogs and owners emotionally and physically. Dr John Bradshaw (a leading expert in separation anxiety) wrote an article in the Guardian that included the quote “most dogs hate being left on their own. Dogs can be trained to cope with being left but few owners are aware that they can (indeed should) do this”. Using peer-reviewed scientific evidence, safe training using desensitization to keep dogs under their panic threshold, our aim and desire is to help as many dogs as possible to stay safe regardless of the source of the behaviour (separation anxiety, isolation, or frustration). Following our step-by-step programme, we go at the pace your dog dictates by ensuring we remain under its panic threshold. We use easy to follow steps and by setting uncomplicated, achievable goals. Although I am based in the UK, I can work with clients over a worldwide basis as all our sessions take place via video link in the comfort of your own home. During the programme, we provide ongoing patient and empathetic support to ensure you and your dog remain motivated.

Hi! I’m a French behavior consultant and I specialize in SA and rescue dogs. My goal is to support and help guardians who struggle with their dog’s SA. Many dogs end up or are stuck in shelters because of SA, and I’d like to make a change. I also love doing prevention with puppies and newly adopted dogs for them to be comfortable from the start with alone time. I know how hard it can be to live with an SA dog. That’s why coaching humans is a crucial part of my job. It is very important for me to support guardians in the SA journey – the ups, the downs, the doubts and the final freedom! Working as a team and helping guardians reach their goals is what I’m really passionate about. Supporting dogs’ AND humans’ mental health and well-being is the reason why I love working with SA cases. I only use positive reinforcement and science-based methods. I live in France and help French-speaking and English-speaking people all around the world! Do not hesitate to contact me for more info.

My work is my passion, my love, my puzzle to analysis because each Dog is unique and special. The Dog communicates by behaviour, body language, play, brain work etc. All those pieces give Us many combinations to find THAT right place for THAT piece to understand his/her personality. This is the most powerful and important knowledge to have. By knowing it, we can concentrate on adjusting the training plan to his/her personality. I love analyzing and asking plenty of questions, sometimes it is a chat with the dog “Why do you do it? What are you trying to tell me? ” Soon after, the eyes/body language starts speaking to me. Sometimes, I feel like a channel between the dog and its owner to help them to understand each other. I love seeing the Owner’s happiness & confidence after a few sessions with me. How proud they are because they could understand their own dog. That sparkle in their eyes melts my heart. The priceless moment for me is the last day of training. Unforgettable feelings to see the bond, the relationship, confidence & pride between them. That moment, where my puzzle is finished and the picture shows “The Bond with the Dog” is completed.
