“Before taking this course, I lacked confidence in my ability to handle separation anxiety cases. I took this course so I could help my clients and their dogs with separation anxiety rather than constantly refer them to other trainers.

I don't have to send my clients to other trainers to get help for their dog's separation anxiety anymore.”

You’ve made this your life’s work for one core reason :

You have a deep love and appreciation for dogs and the human-animal bond in general.

It lights you up to spend your days interacting with four-legged clients, helping them learn new amazing new behaviors and overcome the challenging ones. Some days, seeing their progress gives you literal chills — and their lovable quirks often give you belly laughs.

For continuous learners like you and I, studying up on dog behavior and enhancing your knowledge and skills feels less like “work” and more like Sunday Funday (am I right!?). You’ve got a list of certifications and courses under your belt, an Audible library full of dog psychology books, an endless queue of podcasts, and an insatiable desire to keep getting better at your craft.

You’re excellent at what you do and you’ve got the happy clients to prove it.

Yet, being the passionate trainer you are, your education is never truly “finished” is it? separation anxiety is one specialized area of the dog training world where you feel a little like a wobbly newborn pup learning to walk.

You don’t feel totally confident and you’re ready to change that, so you can help more people, add another source of revenue to your business, and deliver your services virtually.

  • Perhaps you’ve had to turn away clients because you don’t feel confident enough to handle separation anxiety cases on your own.
  • Maybe you’ve taken on a few cases even though you didn’t feel 100% ready, but you felt frustrated by the lack of progress and the stress it causes on your clients and their pets.
  • Perhaps as a force-free trainer, you’ve been studying separation anxiety, but the misinformation and damaging tactics you keep reading about make your dog-lover heart hurt. You know there has to be a better method, and the idea of gentle, gradual exposure speaks to you.
  • Or it could be that your own dog struggles with separation anxiety, and you’d do anything to help them (this was the case with me).

No matter what led you here, you’re absolutely in the right place. And if you’ve been seriously considering doing separation anxiety work, now is absolutely the time.

There’s no denying that separation anxiety has been a hot topic in the dog training world for some time now, particularly since the Covid pet adoption boom.

But even though you know that offering separation anxiety services could drastically increase your revenue and your impact, you’re hesitant.

You may be thinking that …

1.

These cases are just too hard … is it *really* for me?

There's a myth in dog training circles that separation anxiety cases are hard to resolve. And it's so easy to buy into that. The thing is though, that when done well, using a thorough methodology, separation anxiety cases CAN be resolved. Just ask the hundreds (literally) of clients I’ve helped, including my own dog, Percy.

There's no reason these cases should be seen as harder than any other fear cases. If you already know how to help dogs over fear, this is absolutely something you can learn. Don't fall for the negative hype!

2.

Separation anxiety cases are somehow “different.”

Yes and no. There are some differences, but the science of how we help change a dog's emotions still applies. You do need to understand the specifics of how to execute separation anxiety training. Again, if you already know how to help dogs overcome fear, you CAN learn this.

3.

You’re not sure how to find paying clients.

You already know that there has literally never been more demand for separation anxiety services. The clients are out there. All you need is a system for attracting the right clients (spoiler alert: I can help you with that). And the beauty is, it can all be done from the comfort of your own home.

SAPro has had an immediate and powerful impact on my business. I am now so excited to offer separation anxiety consultations with confidence.

“There are so many courses out there for dog trainers and behaviourists but I was looking for something to make me stand out from the crowd. The SAPro course has been so well structured, full of content and totally enthralling.

Julie makes the course a joy to take. The huge element of real-time weekly online contact with Julie and my fellow students has helped cement the course content. Never on your own! I’m looking forward to continually growing my business with the support of Julie and my new-made training buddies.”

I FEEL CONFIDENT.

" The SA Pro Trainer course has helped me to understand the science behind this complex condition. I feel confident that I can now offer hope to dog parents who are struggling and disheartened. "

Here’s the truth.

(and it’s based on *actual* statistics and scientific evidence)

Handled correctly, separation anxiety cases actually have a good resolution rate — and they are amazingly rewarding.

The main reason so many trainers fear separation anxiety cases is they've either experienced or heard of cases not being resolved.

There’s SO much misinformation out there regarding separation anxiety, but very little of it is rooted in actual research.

There's a lot of throwing solutions at the wall in the hope that one will stick. This only ends up confusing and overwhelming the client, taking them away from the intervention that does work.

No wonder training fails.

There's a lot of throwing solutions at the wall in the hope that one will stick. This only ends up confusing and overwhelming the client, taking them away from the intervention that does work.

No wonder training fails.

Separation anxiety is an emotional problem based on a dog’s very real and truly morbid fear of being alone. A phobia, much like being afraid of heights or spiders.

Unless the dog training community recognizes this — and helps our clients recognize this — our methods will fail. We need to change how a dog feels about being left in order to change the home-alone behavior.

It’s why tactics like crate training, barking it out, and no follow routines don’t work. They address the symptoms (at best), but do nothing to change the emotion that drives the behavior. In fact, some of them create more fear, not less.

That’s why clients end up wasting so much time, money, and emotional energy on things that have no hope of working.

SO WHAT DOES WORK?

Helping dog owners understand and implement the concept of gradual exposure, the very same trainers like you and I use for other fear-based behaviors.

I don’t have to convince you of the science behind it – you already know that.

The key to becoming a successful online separation anxiety trainer is to use a step-by-step system that doesn't overwhelm clients and that gets them to the finish-line. And to pair that with great online marketing skills.

IN TAKING THIS COURSE, I REALISED A LOT OF THE INFORMATION I HAD BEEN GIVEN WAS WRONG OR OUTDATED.

“I feel much better placed to help people deal with SA issues. This program is a fun and friendly course with bite sized information to understand and help people who have dogs with SA.”

Shaun Bater Shaun Bater

NOW I HAVE THE CONFIDENCE TO BE ABLE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS AND HELP CLIENTS WHO REACH OUT WITH DOGS WHO HAVE SEPARATION ANXIETY.

“Before taking this program, I never felt equipped to work with SA. I would work with clients dogs who had SA and didn’t feel like I had enough knowledge. As a result, I would refer out separation anxiety cases when they came to me.This course showed me that the things I had learned, even from experienced trainers, were incorrect. Now I know these people will get the correct help that they so desperately need.”

I HELPED MY FIRST SA CLIENT!

“The way Julie explains training plans and how she breaks them down for us and the client is amazing. Now I know how to write the plans and relay how to do them to the clients! Also knowing the answers to all the common questions clients ask is super helpful. If you are at all serious about wanting to help clients/dogs with SA you NEED to do this program”

I’m Julie Naismith,

Academy for Dog Trainers Honors Graduate, author of three bestselling books on separation anxiety, and full-on separation anxiety geek.

I've taken everything I've learned from helping thousands of dogs (including my own dog) overcome separation anxiety and I've channeled that into an all-encompassing, systematic training formula. Not only will I teach you the theory of how to get dogs over separation, but I'll also guide you step-by-step through the exact implementation steps you'll need to get clients through this.

I feel so fortunate to be able to do work I love from home, so I can spend all the time I want with my own pups.

Over the years, I’ve had SO MANY dog trainers ask me how I implement my method and run my business, I knew part of my larger purpose was bringing this life-changing training to other fellow dog trainers.

“I didn’t take many SA cases, they were quite frustrating for me as I found it hard to keep clients optimistic and keep them in regular contact with me and it felt like it was hard work for them. I also felt didn’t have a clear easy way to measure progress so I could keep them uplifted and positive.

Julie is lovely and an engaging teacher who kept me totally focused and absorbed throughout the course. She is passionate and knowledgeable which totally comes through in the use of Zoom calls and Facebook lives rather than just a written course.

There was also a wonderful sense of community in the group.

“I can’t wait to use my revised program so I can help more people successfully help their dogs overcome separation anxiety and get their own freedom back.”

What our most successful students have asked before signing up

What if I can’t afford it right now?I totally get that money is tight and the future seems uncertain.

That's why I've done two things to help you:

1. Despite adding way more to the program for 2023, and I've kept the price of the program extremely competitve (while keeping the quality insanely high).
2. I'm offering a 12-pay option, so you can spread payments over twelve months. If you've ever said "no" to separation anxiety work then you can be reasonably confident that you'll quickly recoup the cost.

Will clients really pay hundreds of dollars or pounds for separation anxiety training? They can and do. Not because you are price gouging or taking advantage either (we’ll be talking about ethics and fair pricing!)
Remember, you'll be offering a highly specialized, hugely valuable service that can help transform their lives.
We’ve all just emerged from two years of lockdown. Separation anxiety owners do not want to feel like they are the only ones still trapped in their own homes.

What do I get when I complete the course?Once you graduate you will be a Certified SA Pro Trainer™. You will also receive a certificate of graduation and logos that you can use in marketing material.

You'll also get lifetime access to:
–the insanely supportive SA Pro Grad community
–the SA Pro Training App
–course materials (including any updates for free)

What's the curriculum? The curriculum covers all the skills and competencies required for certification. You can learn more here.

How long does the course take? The taught component of the course takes 8 weeks.

After that, you'll need to complete the required assessments in order to graduate.

You can graduate in as little as ten weeks but you can also take up to six months to complete the assessments.

What do I need to do to graduate? You'll need to pass three assessments:
  • The Departure Plan-Building Assigment
  • A 35 question online test
  • The Client Practical

Do I need to find my own clients for the coursework? No, it’s all good. I’ve got 100s of clients in my separation anxiety membership group and they all love to volunteer for the practicals.

Is it true that cases are done online and remotely?Yes, 100%. It’s the best, and only way, to work with separation anxiety. Working online is not only good for training efficiency, it’s great for productivity and life-balance. No more sitting in endless traffic. Plus, think how much you’ll save when you cut the mileage. No more crazy fuel costs!

Can you guarantee that I’ll find clients? No, and never trust anyone who makes bold promises about your income potential.
Here’s what I will promise you though: that you’ll get the best education in separation anxiety training going, you’ll get as much support as you need, and you’ll get my expert advice on how to attract clients you’ll love to work with.
And our successful students have gone on to create a flourishing separation anxiety caseload.

What if I don't have time right now? You're busy. I get that. But as the year goes on and your inbox continues to fill with queries about separation anxiety won't you wish you had signed up and were on your way to taking cases?

Wouldn’t I miss interacting with ‘real’ dogs?If you're going all in and plan to work exclusively with separation anxiety, then I can understand this concern. But every dog I work with is 100%. And by working with them via video I get to see them in more depth and detail than I ever would in person.

Plus all that time I free up not traveling? I get to spend it with my own dogs. :)

Can you tell me more about the SA Pro™️ training app and how it works? Absolutely! Click this link for an overview.
