Mel took one little class on dog behavior and before she knew it she was devouring every book on the topic and received her certification as a professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA). She then launched Dogpanion based in San Diego, specializing in puppies. Since then she has gone on to achieve additional certifications, and now Separation Anxiety Pro Trainer.
Mel's focus has always been working with her clients to help them understand their pet dogs' training and behavior needs and make this as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
Using only science and evidence-based methods, she prides herself on working closely with owners to help them through what can often prove to be emotionally challenging problems.
Mel is proud to be a SA Pro Trainer and adds this valuable service to those she already offers her clients who (with the advent of online training) are located across North America.
