I’m a SA Pro, dog trainer and behaviour consultant and all round lover of dogs! My holistic approach to dogs speaks volumes to the dog and clients, and I only ever use positive reinforcement and force free techniques. I have 4 rescues of my own and they’ve taught me so much!
Janet is passionate about relationship based dog training and has a YouTube channel “The Dog Vlog” to help people better understand and enjoy their pets. Janet has worked as a St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Coordinator and has been one of the world’s few official “Wild Goose Chasers”. Her working Border Collies, Sprite and Keegan, sent away Canada Geese from city fields and high activity sports fields “disturbing the poop” for over 5 years. Keegan also has had extreme separation issues, made complicated by the fact that he is epileptic and that stress can trigger his seizures. Using Julie’s Naismith’s methods Keegan has accomplished 2 hours alone time which was previously unimaginable for him! For many years Janet has experienced the journey of living as a single person with a dog who can’t be left alone and truly understands how emotionally challenging this can be. She would love to help others overcome separation anxiety obstacles.
Sarah is the owner and founder of My Complex Canine. With a BSc (Hons) in Psychology she started her working life in various educational and professional organisations helping humans to learn a variety of skills via both in-person and online education. After volunteering & working in well-known UK assistance dog organisations, rescue & rehoming centres and completing a level 5 diploma in dog behaviour, Sarah started My Complex Canine to help humans to understanding their relationship with their canine friends! As a certified Puppy School Tutor Sarah specialised in puppies and adolescence dogs, she is a registered Animal Training Instructor(ATI) with the ABTC and a provisional member (CAB) with the ABPC. Sarah is delighted to be a certified SA Pro providing preventative support for puppy parents and specialised online support for owners with dogs with separation anxiety. Currently taking a short break to have a human baby! Sarah will be back working with clients on a 1:1 basis, online and in-person in 2023.

Jenny is a force and fear free trainer based in Dronfield, Derbyshire and surrounding areas. Coached and mentored for 4 years by Victoria Cooper, Behaviourist, Mentor and Coach, she now works full time for People and Dogs in Sheffield Jenny is passionate about helping dogs and owners live happily together using only positive, reward based methods. Jenny is a member of the Pet Professional Guild, International Companion Animal Network, UK Dog Behaviour and Training Charter, Pet Industry Advocacy International and holds a current canine first aid certificate.
Hi, I’m Louise – the founder of Canine Friends. A little about me and my experience in dealing with separation anxiety. I have been a dog trainer for many years now and I found it incredibly hard when I realised my own puppy was struggling despite doing everything right and what I’d been told to do simply wasn’t working. So I went on a journey to learn more about it and how best to help her in the most ethical way possible, as there’s very few quality and researched methods out there. I then came across Julie Naismith and the SA Pro method. Having had great success with my own dog, I decided to study to become an SA Pro. Since then, it’s been a passion of mine in helping other owners find that freedom from the SA prison that it can feel like and I’d love to work with you to help you achieve some freedom!
Denise heads up Red Dog Training in Hertfordshire and holds an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour, is a graduate of The Academy for Dog Trainers and a member of the APDT (UK) MAPDT 01215. Her team provides in person classes from puppies, teens and agility with Denise now specialising in Behavioural support (remote and in person) for Separation or Upset dog issues.
Robin is a force-free, certified professional dog trainer with over 19 years of experience in training, rescue, behavior management & animal therapy in Dallas, TX. Robin is also certified Fear Free and is a licensed Family Paws Parent Educator as well as being a Certified Separation Anxiety Pro. Robin uses force-free, science-based positive reinforcement methods only. She wants your dog to enjoy wanting to work with you and for you. And she loves seeing the tight bond that is created as the human end of the leash starts to understand what their dog is saying to them. Robin works with quite a wide variety of issues. And your dog does not have to have issues to work with a trainer. She loves working with kids and their dogs to create a beautiful bond they can grow up with. She helps people train their dogs to be registered therapy dogs as well as to go out into public with their two legged human. Dogs should have nice manners in public and Robin takes you anywhere you would like to go for training. Stores, restaurants, your kids sports games….. Separation anxiety is very scary for your dogs and Robin can help you and your furry BFF learn how to be seperated when needed.
Kristina Martin, CBCC-KA, like many trainers, grew up with an affinity for animals. Her experience in the rescue community fostered a passion and desire to dig deep into animal behavior sciences and led her to pursue multiple certifications. Aside from her obvious love for dogs, Kristina equally enjoys being a partner and coach to their humans. Kristina is continually engaged in new educational opportunities to grow as a trainer including advocating and utilizing force-free methods, as she firmly believes giving dogs choice and agency is the most effective and compassionate way to train. Kristina currently specializes in aggression and separation-related behaviors with Boss Babe Dog Training in Dallas, TX. In her free time, Kristina enjoys spending time outdoors, watching documentaries, and teaching her personal dogs —Sampson, Seven, Salem and Squeaks— new tricks!
